Solution 1: Using reports
iDistributor comes with two reports for overviewing the distribution status. They are:
The first report gives you an overview of all distribution requests sent by your ERP with information about the recipient, the product requested and whether an SDS was sent or not. If an SDS was not sent, it might be because the recipient bought that product recently and therefore already has the safety data sheet. If an error occurs with one of your distribution requests, you will have the error message available in the report – a common scenario is that a distribution request was sent from your ERP system for a product that you have not got in your iDistributor system.
The second report gives you an overview of all successful distributions and shows you what SDS language was sent, e.g. if a Swedish or Finnish safety data sheet was sent to a customer situated in Finland.
Solution 2: Activity reports by email
Four types of activity reports by e-mail are available:
- Type 1: API activity notifications
- Type 2: API format or use error, e.g. missing parameters or unknown product
- Type 3: Copy of e-mails sent to customers
See additional information in related knowledge base article.
Solution 3: Searching for distributions in Tools > Distribution
Selecting “Tools” in the main navigator bar and then “Distribution” gives you the option to search for any of the following:
- Product number
- Delivery ID
- Customer e-mail address
- Customer ID
The search results show all distribution requests matching the chosen search criteria and the status. If a safety data sheet was not available for distribution when a distribution request was sent, the request can be re-sent from here.
Clicking a Recipient ID gives the option to update the e-mail address of that customer.
