This article aims to explain the workflow in iDistributor when it comes to support the REACH legislation

According to the legislation, the safety data sheet must be actively provided to the customer upon their initial purchase, and any subsequent updated versions should also be supplied within the following 12 months, if applicable.

New safety data sheet

The workflow starts with the customer's product purchase, which triggers registration in their ERP-system (A). Subsequently, the customer consistently sends all purchased products to iDistributor (C), which monitors the sending of safety data sheets.

When all parameters are accurate, an email notification will be dispatched to the customer (F), and a copy of this email will also be delivered to the customer's inbox (E).

However, if an error occurs, such as an incorrect product number, the email intended for the end-user will not be sent. Instead, an email report (E) will be generated and sent to the customer's email inbox. Read more about e-mail error reports here.

Updated safety data sheet

When we collect or receive updated versions of the safety data sheet, it will trigger iDistributor to send the updated version to all end users who purchased the product during last 12 monts.
